Frankfurt: A five-year-old boy ran over a woman and her two-year-old son when he accidentally started his mother's car parked in front of a creche in the German city of Fulda, police said on Friday.
The boy had been sitting in the car while his mother, 36, chatted with the other mother outside the creche on Thursday afternoon.
Police believe he turned the ignition key, causing the car to jump forward and push the 32-year-old woman and her toddler into a nearby hedge, trapping them under the vehicle.
Both were taken to hospital, but their injuries were not said to be life-threatening, police said.
