It is the second Grand Slam title for Sania while 12th Major trophy for Bhupathi, who now has won eight mixed doubles trophies.

Bhupathi and Sania finally get the break of serve they were looking for and have tied the score at 5-5 and also have the serve.
The communication between Sania and Mahesh seems to be good as Hesh shouts 'you' or 'mine' as the ball comes towards them. The crowd is cheering 'Allez Allez' (go go) in French!

Sania's doubles ranking is 11th while Bhupathi is 13th. In contrast their opponents are ranked much lower. Klaudia Jans-Ignacik is 57th while Santiago Gonzalez is 34th.
Sania and Bhupathi have been broken early in the match. Both are cheering each other up even when they lose games.

The two finalist pairs in the mixed doubles event Sania Mirza/Mahesh Bhupathi and Klaudia Jans-Ignacik/Santiago Gonzalez are busy playing practice shots and the match will soon be underway.

Sharapova has had an easy passage to the French Open semis. She has dropped just one set, against Klara Zakopalova in the fourth round.
Both Sharapova and Kvitova have so far made nine unforced errors each but the former has hit many more winners. The Russian has hit 12 winners to Kvitova's five.

Though it was pouring heavily earlier, the sun is shining very bright for the moment as the women's singles semi-final between Australian Samantha Stosur and Italian Sara Errani is played.
The French Open venue, Roland Garros, is planning renovations worth 270 million euros. This includes a retractable roof on the centre court to avoid rain delays like the one experienced today.
Australian Samantha Stosur has a fastest serve of 186 km/h while Sara Errani of Italy has a 151km/h serve as her fastest.
Stosur is way ahead of Errani in terms of number of winners. Stosur has so far hit 40 winners to just 14 from Errani.

The women's semi-final between Samantha Stosur and Sara Errani has got underway at Court Philippe Chatrier at Roland Garros after a rain delay.
The mixed doubles final is likely to be delayed due to heavy rain in Paris. Sania and Bhupathi's match on Court Philippe Chatrier is preceded by the two women's semi-finals which are yet to start. The first one sees Samantha Stosur take on Sara Errani while the second one has Maria Sharapova pitted against Petra Kvitova.


It is for the third time that Sania and Bhupathi have reached a Grand Slam final together. They won the 2009 Australia Open and had ended runners-up at the same tournament in 2008.
They will face the Polish-Mexcian pair of Klaudia Jans-Ignacik and Santiago Gonzalez, who made it to the final after beating India's Leander Paes and his Russian partner Elena Vesnina, today in the title clash at the Roland Garros.
