Today's Google Doodle marks the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall with a rather emotional video.
The introductory slide gives the viewers a glimpse of the scenes from 1989, it shows the large number of people who gathered near the wall -- some climbing over it and some cheering and applauding -- before its epic fall which divided Germany for 28 years.
It is then followed by scenes of how the wall which was erected in 1961 and was coddled by a 160 km (100 mile) white double concrete screen toppled.
The viewer is later transported to 2014, and is shown places with pieces of the wall from and around the world.
The video, full of scenes of joy and happiness, also has a soft background music playing.
It sends a powerful message of peace, similar to the fall of the wall which united East and West Germany and ended the Cold War.
The fall is seen as a pivotal moment in the collapse of communism and the start of Germany's emergence as a major power at the heart of Europe.
The video, thus, ends with the second "O" of Google being replaced with a peace symbol.
