What comes your mind when you hear the word doctor?

Well if you ask me I would say, a white coat and a 'stethoscope'.

But sadly many of us don't know who invented the stethoscope.

Google doodle today pays tribute to Rene Laennec ,the inventor of stethoscope, on his 235th birthday.

Laennec was born in 1781 in France, studied medicine and served as a medical cadet in the French Revolution.

Rene-Theophile-Hyacinthe Laennec,a French physician, invented the stethoscope in 1816, while working at the Necker Hospital.

Today, the stethoscope  is the most recognizable pieces of medical equipment.
