London:
Greenpeace volunteers' protests on climate change have virtually hit the roof with activists scaling the walls of the British Houses of Parliament and occupying the roof of the historic building.
Brikesh Singh, a campaigner with Greenpeace India, is among those staging a sit-in.
"We are here with 55 other volunteers who want to tell the parliamentarians coming tomorrow for the winter session that now is the time to get the planet saving deal if they want to build any trust between developed and developing countries. UK should take leadership, change the politics and save the climate," says Brikesh.
The protestors are calling for a new style of politics in Britain, one capable of rising to meet the challenge of climate change.
The activists are vowing to stay on the roof overnight so they can welcome politicians back to Westminster in the morning.
They have unfurled a huge banner on the roof of the Palace of Westminster's Great Hall that says: "CHANGE THE POLITICS, SAVE THE CLIMATE."
