Greenpeace activists arrested after unique protest
London: They certainly had the world's attention as they perched on the roof of the British Houses of Parliament. Their one-point agenda: They are calling for urgent action on climate change before the UN's crucial summit in Copenhagen.

Thirty one Greenpeace activists, men and women, chose this way of welcoming MPs back to Parliament after their long summer break.

The protestors spent more than 24 hours on the roof of the parliament - much longer than they originally intended. An appreciative crowd clapped and cheered below.

Among them, 29-year-old Brikesh Singh from Mumbai. Speaking to NDTV, his father sighed, ''Environmental activism interests him. He never tells us what he is doing, but the next day we get to know after seeing him in news."

As the sun set on this unique protest on Monday evening, the activists, including Brikesh, finally climbed down, only to be whisked away by the police for breaching security.
