Gulf Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing In Manila
Gulf Air landed with 307 passengers and 12 crew members safely 29 minutes after take-off.
Manila: Airport officials and passengers say Gulf Air flight carrying 319 people to Bahrain made an emergency landing in the Philippines, returning there after smoke appeared in the cabin.

Manila airport authorities said Flight 155 with 307 passengers and 12 crew members landed safely 29 minutes after take-off today. No injuries have been reported.

A passenger told DZBB radio he saw smoke in the cabin and the air conditioning was off when they were told the plane had to turn back due to technical problems.

An airline employee said Gulf Air officers were attending to the incident and the airline could not yet release details.

The airport media office says the airline canceled the flight and booked accommodation for affected passengers.
