Manila:
A gunman shot dead three people and wounded several others when he opened fire in a crowded Philippine market on Friday, before he himself was shot dead, police said.
The shooter began firing a pistol in Kawit town, about 40 kilometres (25 miles) south of Manila, for unknown reasons, district police chief officer Jaime Rollon told AFP.
