Houston: A group of gunmen stormed into a restaurant and a pizza cafe in the US city of Houston in broad daylight, holding up customers and employees and robbing them. They fled without causing more harm, media reported.

Five men wearing masks broke into a Thai restaurant in northwest Houston during lunchtime Wednesday, Xinhua reported, citing KHOU television channel.

Surveillance videos showed two of them were armed with weapons while three others served as lookouts.

Witnesses told police that the men pointed guns at customers and demanded cash. They also took cash from the restaurant's register.

After leaving the restaurant, the men went to a neighbouring pizza cafe and robbed again before fleeing. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Police said the gunmen might be teenagers. No arrest has been made and the suspects remain on the loose.
