New Delhi: It's Google eighteenth birthday and it's being celebrated with a colorful doodle. But there have been at least six other days that have been celebrated as Google's birthday. Today's vibrant doodle is designed by Gerben Steenks.
Google has celebrated at least five days in September as its birthday, the 4th, the 7th, the 8th, the 26th and the 27th. The latter which Google is sticking to for now.
The doodle shows Google's "G" blowing up a balloon to spell out the rest of its name, but it blows it up too much leading to it being carried off into the sky. In the backdrop are two bunches of bright balloons. Each bunch has three balloons representing the six letters G O O G L E.
Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1998. 18 years after it was founded at Stanford University, Google is one of the world's most powerful companies.
