Hindu Temple in Sydney alleges repeated vandalism

Sydney: The police in Sydney has confirmed that a temple was vandalised by four boys this week.

On  Thursday, the boys used iron bars to shatter two glass windows - shards of glass flew inside the temple and just missed a one-year-old who was playing inside. The police arrived 20 minutes after it was contacted, and it has filmed the damage.

The priest and other officials at the temple say that eggs are repeatedly thrown at the building.

In August this year, six boys allegedly scaled the walls to enter the temple's premises and then yelled abuses at the priest who was inside his house. The police was contacted and given a DVD of security camera footage. However, worshippers and the priest say the police has yet to lodge a formal complaint.
