Chicago: A 41-year-old man has been arrested for plotting to kill US President Barack Obama.
James Vernon McVay, a homicide suspect accused of killing a 75-year-old woman was arrested near Madison on Saturday.
McVay who is facing first-degree murder and burglary charges, entered the home of Maybelle Schein in South Dakota, fatally stabbed her and then fled in her vehicle, reports said.
Police said McVay was caught in the homicide victim's stolen vehicle.
"He's being held here in jail," Lieutenant Porter of the Dane County's Sheriff's Office in Madison, Wisconsin told PTI today.
"We're waiting for him to be extradited to Sioux Falls in South Dakota till all the paperwork is completed," Porter added.
