Morocco's state news agency says a man who attacked a mosque in the Moroccan city of Tetouan has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of an imam.
Sources reported that police in Tetouan arrested the man on Tuesday after he attacked several people in the Al Andalous mosque in the old medina with a bladed weapon. Police said in addition to killing the mosque's imam, the suspect also wounded several people who are now in stable condition.
It said the suspect, who was born in 1982, had previously received treatment for mental health issues.
