Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan will marry television presenter Reham Khan this evening at his residence, said sources.
Earlier today, a spokesperson for his party said the event would not be a large affair, according to Pakistan's Dawn News website. (Read the Dawn report here)
Mr Khan, 62, former Pakistani cricket captain, is the Chief of the Tehreek-i-Insaf. "As far as I know, it is an extremely private affair. There are no such ticketed cards and no grand function," a party spokesperson was quoted as saying.
A reception after today's nikaah ceremony is to be held tomorrow, said sources.
British media reported earlier this week that Mr Khan had married Reham, who is 20 years younger than him, in a secret wedding. Mr Khan said on New Year's Eve that reports of his wedding were "greatly exaggerated."
