Indian boy dies during desert safari in UAE

Dubai: A four-year-old Indian boy died in a car accident while he was on a desert safari with his family in the UAE.

Pranav, from Kerala, was killed when the vehicle he and his family were riding the dune in turned turtle on Tuesday in a desert in the Madam area of Sharjah, the Khaleej Times reported.

"Our car had driven up a dune and it overturned when it was going down. I think the climb down the mound was steeper than what the driver assumed and he lost control," Pranav's
uncle Ajith Kumar was quoted as saying.

Pranav's father Arun Kumar, a television cameraman, and his brother Ajith organised the desert safari after the latter had come over for a visit from India.

Pranav was travelling with his brother and parents in the vehicle which overturned while the rest of the family members were in another vehicle.

All others sustained minor injuries.
