Seoul:
In a landmark case, a court in Seoul has indicted a South Korean man for racially abusing an Indian professor.
Indian academic, Bonojit Hussain, was racially abused while traveling on a public bus in July this year. He decided to take action against his tormentor and filed a racial discrimination suit.
As a result of his action, the South Korean national assembly is discussing two anti- racism Bills now.
The 28-year-old Hussain, a researcher on racism in Asian communities, will now make history by addressing the consultative public hearing of the South Korean Parliament on Wednesday.
Hussain is scheduled to speak before the assembly at 2 pm South Korea time (about 10.30 am IST).
