New Delhi: British-Indian author Neel Mukherjee's family drama "The Lives of Others" has been shortlisted for the prestigious Costa Book Award, publishers announced on Wednesday.
The novel, which was also shortlisted for Man Booker Prize for fiction 2014, has been shortlisted for the "Novel Award" category, said an official statement from Penguin Random House.
The award honours outstanding books of the year written by authors based in Britain and Ireland.
There are five categories - first novel, novel, biography, poetry and children's book - for the award.
