Indian-origin woman murdered, hand cut off

London: The police are interrogating the estranged husband of a 28-year-old Geeta Aulakh who was found dying with her hand cut off in West London.

Investigators believe it was in Greenford West London that Geeta was attacked and left to die. She had left work and was on her way to pick up her two children from the child minders home.

Passersby found Geeta with fatal head injuries and one of her hands cut off.

Her husband Harpreet, who she split up with sometime ago, also lives in the area. He is being questioned by the police along with five other men.

Headlines speak of the brutality of the murder. Geeta married 31-year-old Harpreet against her parents' wishes. He is said to have been very upset when she left him with their two young sons.

Her friends described the man as someone who never seemed to have a job and was happy to live off her. Apparently, divorce proceedings had been initiated.

The police have launched a murder investigation asking the public to come forward with any information they might have on this gruesome murder.
