Melbourne: A 21-year-old Indian student who was pulled unconscious from a lake in New Zealand died today, a media report said.
Sidhant Sharma was aboard a boat with family and friends yesterday on Lake Taupo in the North Island when he decided to swim. But Sharma was pulled unconscious from the water after he failed to resurface, police said.
Sharma was transferred to Waikato Hospital last night where he died this morning, The New Zealand Herald reported.
He was studying in New Zealand and had been staying in Rotorua.
