Beijing:
The top U.S. diplomat says negotiations to limit Iran's nuclear program aren't being linked to efforts to even indirectly partner with Iran on other world crises.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry was responding on Saturday to a Wall Street Journal report last week describing a letter from President Barack Obama to Tehran suggesting a shared interest in fighting the Islamic State militant group - but that cooperation would depend on whether Iran agrees to a nuclear deal.
Kerry, who is to meet on Sunday in Oman with Iran's foreign minister, denied any linkage between the nuclear negotiations and any other issue.
Talks between world powers and Iran over Tehran's nuclear program are set to expire Nov. 24.
Kerry's in the Chinese capital attending the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation conference.
