Tehran:
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called on Iranian officials today not to talk with the US about mutual and international issues.
"Negotiations with the US are forbidden, since it has numerous disadvantages, but not benefits", Xinhua quoted the supreme leader as saying.
"The fact that we disagree with negotiations has its reasons," he said, adding "talks with the US means their influence in Iran".
They are looking for ways to "impose" their will on the Islamic republic, he said.
"In recent nuclear talks, they sought ways for their influence. Although the Iranian side was cognizant, they could find some chances and made moves against our national interests," he said.
