Jerusalem: Israel will "respond harshly" to a deadly attack on a Jerusalem synagogue, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said.
The Prime Minister called Tuesday's attack a "cruel murder of Jews who came to pray and were killed by despicable murderers."
Two Palestinian assailants stormed the synagogue in Jerusalem's ultra-Orthodox Har Nof neighborhood and attacked worshippers with knives, axes and guns before they were killed in a shootout with police.
Mr Netanyahu blamed the violence on incitement by the Islamic militant Hamas and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. He said the international community "ignores the incitement", but did not elaborate.
