Pop legend Michael Jackson's alleged secret lovechild has denied any biological link with the 'King of Pop'.
Omer Bhatti, 25, has said that Jackson feted him as an honorary son after inviting him and his family to move in with him. The budding singer from Norway, who lived with Jackson at his Neverland ranch for eight years, hails the 'King of Pop' as his "best friend", Sun online reported.
Reports had claimed that Bhatti was born after Jackson had a one-night stand with his mother Pia Bhatti in 1983. They were fuelled further after the young singer was spotted sitting in the front row alongside Jackson's brothers and sisters at his memorial.
However, Bhatti, who has been making a living by impersonating Jackson, has dismissed reports that he is seeking a DNA test to prove he is the son of 'Thriller' hitmaker.
Bhatti confided in a friend that Jackson always told him that he was like a son to him, which may have started the rumours.
"Michael is not my father. He and I were just very, very close. He was my best friend," the publication quoted Bhatti telling a friend from Oslo.
"Michael always used to say I was like a son to him," he told the friend. "But my true parents are here in Norway. The reason I was asked to sit with his family at the memorial service is because I was Michael's closest friend, not because I am his son," Bhatti added.
