Japan's prime minister may just top the music charts, as a 20-year-old album sung by him is re-released.
He's the top politician in Japan and he may soon be the top singer in the country as well. Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama has re-released an album he recorded some 20 years ago.
The 62-year-old's "take heart" album began hitting music stores across the nation over the weekend.
Originally the CD was not for sale and about a hundred copies were given out along the campaign trail to supporters as a gift.
The album's producer says he expects the prime minister to shoot to the top of the charts.
The album, which includes three remastered songs and even a karaoke version, is being sold for about eleven dollars.
