A Spanish judge ruled on Wednesday that King Felipe VI's sister, Princess Cristina, and her husband must face fraud charges, opening the way to an unprecedented criminal trial.
Cristina is accused of complicity in the allegedly dodgy business dealings of her husband, former Olympic handball player Inaki Urdangarin. The judge's ruling is open to appeal.
