An Emirates airline flight EK-514, enroute from Dubai to New Delhi, with External Affairs Minister S M Krishna on board made an emergency landing at Karachi's Quaid-e-Azam International airport at 10:45 pm PST as the plane did not get clearance to land in Delhi due to inclement weather.
Krishna however, is safe including others in the flight.
The plane took off from Karachi at 11:35 PST , headed to Dubai after not receiving the required clearance to land in New Delhi.
The External Affairs Minister was returning from Brazil, where he had gone for the BRIC meeting.
Nadeem Ahmed, a representative of the Pak Foreign Office went to the airport to meet with the Indian External Affairs Minister however, it was not possible as none of the passengers (including Krishna) on board the Delhi bound flight disembarked from the plane.
