Colombo: The Special Task Force (STF) in Sri Lanka has raided defeated Presidential candidate General Sarath Fonseka's office, media reports from Colombo have said.
Over 150 STF personnel are currently searching the premises. He was accused by the government of plotting assassination of President Mahinda Rajapakse.
Fonseka on his part had refuted the government allegation. He said it was a ploy by the government to get him arrested. Fonseka was also contemplating approaching the court against what he alleged was massive rigging in the presidential elections.
