Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stole the social media spotlight during a US presidential debate on Monday night - this time for what Twitter users branded a #TrumpSniffle.
Tonight, @HillaryClinton proved she is ready to be President - and Donald Trump proved he is not. #debatenight https://t.co/Zeq5iF09Bc

Stamina To Lead?
"I said she doesn't have the stamina. And I don't believe she does have the stamina. To be president of this country, you need tremendous stamina" - Donald Trump
"Well, as soon as he travels to 112 countries and negotiates a peace deal, a ceasefire, a release of dissidents... or even spends 11 hours testifying in front of a congressional committee, he can talk to me about stamina" - Hillary Clinton
The Right Experience?
"Let me tell you, Hillary has experience. But it's bad, bad experience" - Donald Trump
Too Much Prep?
"I think Donald just criticized me for preparing for this debate. And yes, I did. And you know what else I prepared for? I prepared to be president. And I think that's a good thing" - Hillary Clinton
Your Own Reality
"I know you live in your own reality, but those are not the facts," Clinton said, after Trump took her to task over her support for the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal.
A Racist Lie
"He tried to put the whole racist birther lie to bed. But it can't be dismissed that easily. He has really started his political activity based on this racist lie that our first black president was not an American citizen" - Hillary Clinton, referring to Trump's longtime support of the "birther" movement questioning Barack Obama's citizenship.
Show Me Yours And I Will Show You Mine
"I have no reason to believe that he's ever going to release his tax returns, because there's something he's hiding" - Hillary Clinton
"I will release my tax returns against my lawyer's wishes when she releases her 33,000 e-mails that have been deleted" - Donald Trump
Trumped-Up Economics
"The kind of plan that Donald has put forth would be trickle-down economics all over again. In fact, it would be the most extreme version, the biggest tax cuts for the top percent of the people in this country than we've ever had. I call it trumped up trickle-down" - Hillary Clinton
Talk The Talk
"Typical politician. All talk, no action. Sounds good, doesn't work. Never going to happen" - Donald Trump, rubbishing his rival's economic plans
Shhh... Don't Tell The Enemy
Clinton: "Well at least I have a plan to fight ISIS."
Trump: "No, no, you're telling the enemy everything you want to do."
Clinton: "No, we're not."
Trump: "You're telling the enemy everything you want to do. No wonder you've been fighting ISIS your entire adult life."
When It's All Said And Done
"I want to make America great again. I will be able to do it, I don't believe Hillary will. The answer is, if she wins, I will absolutely support her" - Donald Trump
US Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's probability of winning the White House gained in online betting markets following the first debate of the campaign between her and Republican Donald Trump.
Trump: I want to make America great again. Whatever the outcome, I will support it.
Donald Trump on Monday defended his comments calling long-standing alliances into question, saying nations like Japan must pay their way.
"We cannot be the policeman of the world, we cannot protect countries all over the world, where they're not paying us what we need," Trump said during a spirited presidential debate.
Trump: We lose on everything... We can't defend Japan, a behemoth selling us cars by the millions. Hillary Clinton's very cavalier in the way she talks about various countries. I can't take anything off the table... China should go into North Korea. Russia has more warheads than ever, N Korea is testing nukes, and Iran got a sweetheart deal to keep theirs. Thanks, Hillary Clinton.
I think my strongest asset, maybe by far, is my temperament... I know how to win. She does not know how to win.
Trump: That is a lie about me that's been put out by Hillary Clinton. Let me make this absolutely clear - Hillary Clinton is the only candidate on stage who voted for the Iraq War.
Trump: We have to knock the hell out of ISIS.
Clinton: Donald has consistently insulted Muslims abroad, Muslims at home.

Clinton accused her Republican White House rival Trump of launching his political career by supporting a "racist" theory that questioned Barack Obama's citizenship.
"He tried to put the whole racist 'birther' lie to bed," the Democrat said as the pair clashed in their first presidential debate, referring to Trump's recent admission that Obama was born in the United States.
"But it can't be dismissed that easily. He has really started his political activity based on this racist lie that our first black president was not an American citizen," she said.
Clinton: No one should disagree about respecting the rights of young men who live in those neighborhoods. The fact that Trump's answer to a question about racial injustice is just "we need law and order" pretty much says it all. We've got to address the systemic racism in our criminal justice system and end private prisons. Donald Trump is more concerned with pandering to the gun lobby than keeping families safe.

Without law and order you will not have a country. You have to have Stop and Frisk. You need more police. We need law and order. And we need law and order in the inner cities.
Clinton Responds To Donald Trump: Stop and Frisk was found to be un-Constitutional.
We are not going to bring New York's unconstitutional stop-and-frisk program nationwide. We've got to address the systemic racism in our criminal justice system and end private prisons. If you're too dangerous to fly, then you're too dangerous to buy a gun.

Paying zero in taxes doesn't make you "smart."
- Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) September 27, 2016
It makes you a tax evader. https://t.co/g9nQkSRvTB
Clinton: I know you live in your own reality but that is not the facts. Maybe he doesn't want the American people... to know that he's paid nothing in federal taxes.
A Clinton economy equal to more taxes and more spending. Our country is suffering because people like Secretary Clinton have made such bad decisions. The Fed is not doing their job. The Fed is being more political than Secretary Clinton.
I get audited almost every year... I'm not even complaining. I will release my tax returns... when she releases her 33,000 emails that have been deleted.
Trump: My tax cut is the biggest since Ronald Reagan. I'm very proud of it... You are going to regulate these businesses out of existence. I'm going to cut taxes big league and you're going to raise taxes big league. End of story. Hillary Clinton channels John Kerry on trade: she was for bad trade deals before she was against them.
Trump: You've been telling all your plans to the enemy. No wonder you've been fighting ISIS your entire adult life.
Trump: Hillary, I just ask you this-you've been doing this for 30 yrs. Why are you just thinking about these solutions...now? Instead of driving jobs and wealth away, America will become the world's great magnet for innovation and job creation.
Trump: Hillary Clinton has been part of the rigged DC system for 30 years? Why would we take policy advice from her?
Clinton: I have a feeling that by the end of this evening I'm going to be blamed for everything that's every happened
Clinton: Trickle down did not work... Slashing taxes on the wealthy didn't work.
Trump: Our country is losing so much in terms of energy, in terms of paying off our debt. Hillary, I just ask you this: You've been doing this for 30 years. Why are you just thinking about the solutions right now? NAFTA is the worst trade deal... and now you want to approve Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Clinton: Donald, I know you live in your own reality, but that is not the facts.
- Economists project that Trump's plans would add more than $5,000,000,000,000 to the national debt. That's "trillion" with a "T."
Trump: My father gave me a very small loan in 1975 and I built it into a company that's worth many, many billions. We owe $20 trillion. We cannot do it any longer.
Clinton: Donald was one of the people who rooted for the housing crisis. We have to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top. There's only one candidate on stage who will support working families. Having a small business owner for a dad may not get you multi-million-dollar bailouts, but it does teach you the value of hard, honest work.
Trump: We're losing our good jobs. As far as childcare is concerned... I think Hillary and I agree on that. We have to renegotiate our trade deals and we have to stop these countries from stealing our companies and our jobs.
Hillary Clinton: We have to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top. That means we need new jobs, good jobs. I also want to see more companies do profit-sharing. Donald, it's good to be with you.
Democrat Hillary Clinton and her Republican rival Donald Trump took the stage for their crucial first presidential debate, in what could be the most watched US political event in years.
The two White House hopefuls, in a virtual dead heat in polls with barely six weeks before the November 8 election, cordially shook hands as they readied for a 90-minute face-off.
The 90 minute debate is divided into 6 segments, each 15 minutes long: Lester Holt
With the contest tightening, Wall Street investors grew more jittery on Monday, contributing to a fall in stocks. Some investors see the close race sparking volatility in sectors that include health insurers, drugmakers and industrials.
Hillary's set to take the debate stage at 9pm ET.
