Twenty minutes to go for Saina Nehwal's semi-final vs Yihan Wang. All of you, say your prayers
While the pressure of now going all the way may be on the world number 5 with world number 1 Yihan Wang of China obstructing her view of the podium.

Saina, however, has excellent form backing her and although she may have not beaten Wang in their last five encounters, will know that she has found India's affection already and it is not dependent on whether her bag is packed with an Olympic medal or not.
Focus has never been too much of an issue for Saina coming into the Olympics. She had her rough phases but national coach Pullela Gopichand had predicted her to peak during the London Games. Saina herself in an interview to NDTV, said that she was training extremely hard and hoped to do well.
Some trivia here: In their last five matches, Saina has never managed to win against Yihan Wang.

India says: There is always a first time!
Saina made it to the semi-final after she beat Denmark's Tine Baun 21-15 22-20 yesterday. After the match she said, it was a difficult match but she pulled it off.

And god forbid, if she loses today, she will still have her chances of winning a bronze medal alive. But more on that after today's match which starts at 1.30 PM IST (9:00 AM GMT). Right now all fingers crossed!
