So, disappointment from the ExCel Arena, the same venue where Mary Kom today, took a win.

No doubt though that Vijender Singh continues to be India's premier pugilist and that he will come back strongly from this defeat.

It was a good fight from Vijender but it was not good enough to take him past Abbos Atoev. A two-point deficit after the second round played havoc and opened upto a four point gap by the end of the third.
Abbos Atoev wins 17-13. Vijender out of London Olympics, sadly!

A minute left in the second.
Vijender Singh gets aggressive. Looking for power. A left hook from the Indian but Abbos catches it.
Second round continues to be close. Abbos tries a flurry but misses his mark.
Words of encouragement from the Indian coach.
Round 1 over. Close round between the two.
So, some comeback from the Indian. Needs the momentum.
Vijender being made to defend. Got a right punch!
The Uzbek seems to have the advantage. Vijender looking for a flurry of some kind.
Loud cheers for Vijender. He is trying to get back in.
Vijender takes a few shots. Needs to come back again...
And they are out to fight.....
The wait if now on for the ongoing match to get over. Falcao leads Harcsa 6-2 after a round.
Vijender will take the blue corner while Abbos will have the red.
Both Vijender and Abbos are of the same age - 26.
