Glasgow Airport in Scotland
London:
A 26-year-old man has been arrested for sparking a terror alert at Glasgow airport in Scotland by hiding a fake bomb in the groom's hand luggage.
Baggage X-ray machines picked up a "crude device" in the baffled stag's luggage shortly before he boarded his flight for a weekend in Berlin.
Other passengers reportedly looked on in horror as police descended on the scene. But it soon emerged the fake bomb had actually been planted by one of his friends who never made it on the flight.
The man is due at Paisley Sheriff court next month in connection with the incident, British media reported.
"We can confirm an incident at the baggage screening area which resulted in police being called," according to a spokesperson of Glasgow Airport.
