Washington:
A man was arrested on Sunday after he climbed over a fence at the White House, the Secret Service said.
Spokesman Brian Leary said the incident happened shortly before 4:00 pm (2000 GMT) and that the individual in question was "immediately detained."
Charges against the man, whose identity has not been released, are pending, Leary said.
President Barack Obama returned to the US capital from an overseas trip late Saturday.
