Fort Wayne, Indiana:
Police arrested two people for driving with four children strapped on the hood of the car with a tow strap in Fort Wayne, Indiana in the US on Monday.
Fort Wayne police spokesman John Chambers said a witness called police in the evening after seeing a man and woman strap the children to the car in a liquor store parking lot, then drive away.
The children, aged four, five, six and seven appeared unharmed and were quoted in local paper Indiana's News Center Now saying they had said yes to riding on the roof because 'it sounded like fun'. Mr Chambers says a US marshal stopped the car.
Police say the man was arrested on a preliminary drunken driving charge and may face other charges. The woman was questioned by police, who called the Department of Child Services.
