Kutahya, Turkey:
A tanker carrying Liquefied Petroleum Gas exploded on a highway in western Turkey on Tuesday, injuring 21 people according to a local governor.
Governor Kenan Ciftci of the Kutahya province says the blast was caused by a gas leak on the truck.
The Dogan news agency broadcast amateur mobile phone video of the blast as a massive fireball filled the sky.
The pictures show people being knocked to the ground by the force of the explosion.
Daylight pictures showed a huge crater in the road, damaged vehicles, including a burned out bus and a badly damaged house.
Ciftci said three firefighters were among the wounded, adding that some of the injured were suffering from smoke inhalation.
