American Samoa:
Nearly a hundred people have gathered on a ferry off the coast of American Samoa for a memorial service honoring the U.S. teenager who died and his father who is missing after their plane crashed during an attempt to circumnavigate the world.
The body of 17-year-old Haris Suleman was found shortly after the crash in the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday. U.S. Coast Guard officials said Sunday they were suspending the search for Haris' father, 58-year-old Pakistani-born Babar Suleman, though the family says they are hoping he is still alive.
Haris Suleman had hoped to set the record for the fastest circumnavigation around the world in a single-engine airplane with the youngest pilot in command.
Among the Sunday attendees were the lieutenant governor of American Samoa and several Suleman family members.
