Prague:
A court in the Czech Republic has convicted a mother of four of murdering all her children and sentenced her to life in prison.
Jana Klikova, spokeswoman for the regional court in Hradec Kralove, 100 kilometers east of Prague, says the woman, identified as Romana Z killed her children, aged two 2 months to eight years, on September 2 last year in her home in the village of Siroky Dul.
The woman, who tried to commit suicide after the murders, told the court she did not remember anything.
Experts say that she was frustrated with her personal problems.
Ms Klikova says the woman collapsed immediately after the sentence on Friday and needed medical treatment. Life sentences are rare for women in the Czech Republic.
Ms Klikova says it is not immediately clear if she wants to appeal.
