Yangon, Myanmar: Myanmar's Information Minister today said the government will abide by the outcome of historic elections and smoothe the transition of power, as Aung San Suu Kyi's opposition stood on the verge of a landslide.
"We will respect and obey the decision of the electorate," Ye Htut said in a message posted on his Facebook page, adding "we will work peacefully in the transfer" of responsibilities to Suu Kyi's party.
