Damascus, Syria:
At least nine people were killed by radical rebels in Syria's southern province of Daraa, media reports said on Sunday.
The Nusra Front, an Al Qaeda subgroup operating in the war-torn country, killed nine people of the same family after kidnapping them in Daraa province, Xinhua quoted the pro-government Sham FM radio as saying without giving any further details.
The Nusra Front currently controls several areas in Daraa, where the country's three-year-old conflict first erupted.
So far, more than 100,000 people have been killed, while millions more have been forced to flee their homes.
Recently, clashes between the government troops and the Nusra Front were most seen in the town of Nawa, which connects Daraa with the southern province of Qunaitera near the Golan Heights.
