Washington:
US President Barack Obama went to CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) headquarters in Langley, Virginia, on Friday to thank the agency's intelligence workers for the years of effort that led to the killing of Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
The President recalled that he had been to the CIA headquarters a year ago to honour seven fallen agents who died at a remote outpost in Afghanistan.
The President thanked members of the CIA intelligence community "on behalf of all Americans" for their efforts in the war on terror.
Obama's visit came after he'd already met the helicopter pilots and Navy SEAL team involved in the raid on bin Laden's Pakistan hideaway earlier this month.
The US president also warned Al Qaeda militants that they had better watch their back as America was on their trail.
"We're going to review every video, we're going to examine every photo, we're going to read every one of those millions of pages, we're going to pursue every lead, we are going to go wherever it takes us. We're going to finish the job, we're going to defeat Al Qaeda," he added.
The President's spokesman said it was Obama's idea to visit Langley because he wanted to personally thank workers there.
