Singapore:
US President Barack Obama has urged Burma to release the pro-democracy leader, Aung San Suu Kyi.
Obama, who's currently on a trip to Asia, delivered the message as he met leaders of the Asean in Singapore.
The White House press secretary said Obama raised the issue directly with Burmese Prime Minister General Thein Sein.
Nobel Peace Prize winner Suu Kyi has been in detention for 14 of the last 20 years.
