Washington, United States : President Barack Obama departed Washington on Saturday for a two-week-long beach vacation at Martha's Vineyard, accompanied by First Lady Michelle Obama and their two daughters, the White House said.
The first family boarded the Marine One helicopter at the White House for the short flight to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, where Air Force One, the presidential plane, whisked them to the popular Massachusetts beach retreat.
Accompanying the president, first lady and teenagers Sasha and Malia were the family canines, Sunny and Bo.
The White House said the Obamas will remain in Martha's Vineyard through August 21.
