Calgary:
Police in Canada say seven people have been shot at a New Year's Eve house party in Calgary, and one of the victims died in a hospital.
Police said on Thursday that an autopsy will be done on Friday and the person's identity won't be released until then.
Detective Steve Adair says police received multiple calls just after 5 am reporting shots fired. He says that by the time officers arrived, the suspect or suspects had already left.
Police say they don't know how many suspects are involved nor do they have any idea of motive.
Police found five people in and around the house with gunshot wounds. Adair says two other people later showed up at hospitals for treatment.
