One Soldier, 14 Militants Killed on Pakistan Border Post in Major Taliban Insurgency

Islamabad: One soldier and 14 militants were killed today when the Taliban insurgents launched a major attack from Afghanistan side at Pakistan border post in restive northwestern tribal area, security sources said.

Military officials said that a large number of terrorists attacked Nao Top post in Bajaur tribal areas early today.

"14 terrorists have been killed and one soldier embraced martyrdom while two others were critically injured," a security officer said.

The injured are being evacuated. Helicopter gunships have been sent as reinforcement.
