Milan:
At least 10 people have been arrested and 112 others are being probed in Italy for allegedly viewing and disseminating videos and images through an international online paedophile network, the Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata news agency reported.
The crackdown comes as a part of an international investigation against online child pornography, Xinhua reported.
They were part of an expansive paedophile network of some 700 members across 28 countries including France, Portugal, US, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Israel, the report said.
The network featured thousands of videos and pictures involving children under the age of 11 and in some cases even newborn babies being sexually abused, the report added.
According to the report, the mastermind of the criminal association, a 53-year-old Italian, was arrested in Milan Thursday.
