Porland, Oregon: Friends and family say the 14-year-old shot and killed by a classmate at an Oregon high school earlier this month loved soccer, selfies and making people laugh.
The Oregonian reports that a public service was held Sunday for Emilio Hoffman, the lone victim of the shooting June 10 at Reynolds High School east of Portland.
His mother, Jennifer Hoffman, teachers and classmates spoke about the spunky boy who cracked jokes on the soccer field, took silly selfies and carried out pranks.
Emilio Hoffman was killed in the boy's locker room by a fellow freshman, 15-year-old Jared Padgett, who later killed himself. Padgett's public funeral was held last week.
A bullet also grazed a teacher. Authorities have yet to reveal a motive for the shooting.
