Islamabad:
A suicide bomber blew himself up on Friday at the office of a senior government official in the restive Mohmand tribal region in northwest Pakistan, killing at least three persons and injuring 80 others.
The attacker detonated his suicide jacket outside the office of the political agent in a crowded market at Yakaghund village in Mohmand Agency.
A large number of people were in the market. A prison and some other government offices are located near the political agent's office.
At least three persons were killed and 80 others injured in the blast, Geo News channel quoted its sources as saying.
At least 15 of the injured, including a woman and a child, were taken to a hospital in Peshawar, the capital of the northwestern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
The Pakistan Army recently conducted operations against the local Taliban in Mohmand Agency.
