Karachi:
A senior lawyer belonging to the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (N) party was shot dead today, the latest in a spate of violence in the city in the last 24 hours.
Advocate Waqar Shah was the vice president of the PML (N) lawyers wing and was targeted in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the city while going to office, police said.
"He was shot several times in his vehicle," police official Imran Shaukat said.
Yesterday, in different incidents of target killings, at least 13 people were killed in Pakistan's biggest city including three students of a religious seminary.
