Just hours before India and Pakistan sit down for talks sources tell NDTV that Pakistan's Punjab government will withdraw appeal against the mastermind of the 26/11 attacks, Hafiz Saeed, saying no evidence has been found to prove Saeed's involvement in attacks.
This comes just a day after sources told NDTV that arresting Saeed is key part of action against terrorism and Pakistan should act against Saeed if it's a decent and civilised society.
Earlier, Punjab government had filed an appeal against Lahore High Court's order releasing Saeed.
Both the federal government and the Punjab government had filed petitions challenging the end of Hafiz Saeed's house arrest orders.
Though talks are set to resume in some form, casting a shadow is the question of whether Pakistan will act against Lashkar chief and 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed.
