Sydney : A head-on collision involving a tanker and five cars injured three people and shut down most of the lanes on Sydney Harbour Bridge on Friday, local media reported.
Says a paramedic at the scene: "Of the patients that are involved, three of them were deemed to be critical. The Careflight rescue helicopter arrived on the scene and with the medical assistance were able to intubate the patient."
One of the patients is a lady who has been conveyed by ambulance to Royal North Shore (Hospital) in a critical condition with head injuries. Two other patients were conveyed to Royal Prince Alfred (Hospital), a lady in her 20s with a chest injury and another gentleman also in is 20s with spinal injuries. All patients are serious.
