Manila: The deaths from typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines today rose to 5,632, a government agency said.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), 34 bodies have been recovered in central Tacloban city, one of the worst affected areas in the disaster, reports Xinhua.
The number of deaths till Thursday was 5,598.
The number of people still missing remained at 1,759, it added.
